Can you imagine what it will be like if you were the son of an ancient Greek god? Well Percy Jackson is the best example of this. I want tell you today who is Percy Jackson, the characters, the plots and why I like Percy Jackson.

Who is Percy Jackson?

Percy Jackson’s full name is actually Perseus Jackson, which is named after the son of Zeus Perseus. Percy Jackson is the son of Poseidon the ancient Greek god of the sea and being the son of ‘the big three’ (Zeus, Poseidon and Hades) Percy could be the child of the prophecy which is when a son or daughter of the big three reaches the age of 16 would make a decision that would either save or destroy Olympus.

The characters of Percy Jackson

Annabeth Chase is the daughter of Athena the goddess of wisdom, battle and craft. She is first annoyed with Percy but quickly warms up to him on their first quest together. She ran away from home when she was seven and met Luke and Thalia.

Grover Underwood is a satyr, who is half man-half goat, is Percy’s best friend. He found the most powerful demi gods of the century Percy Jackson (son of Poseidon), Thalia Grace (daughter of Zeus), Nico and Bianca Di Angelo (children of Hades).

Chiron is a centurion, which is half man-half horse. He is Percy’s teacher and the activities director for Camp Half-Blood. He is later revealed that he is the son of Kronos.

Luke Castellan is the son of Hermes and the counselor for the Hermes cabin and ally to Percy, he later revealed his true nature as a high-ranking member of Kronos’s army.

Sally Jackson is the daughter of Jim and Laura Jackson, who died in a plane crash. She is Percy’s mother and in the beginning of the series it is revealed that she works at a candy shop called Sweet on America. Percy figures out she can see through the mist.

Tyson is a Cyclops and the son of Poseidon and a nature spirit. He is first appears in the sea of monsters. He is afraid of Graver while Grover is also afraid of him.

The plots in Percy Jackson

The plots in Percy Jackson are very different but they all revolve around a quest like in the first book the quest was to find Zeus’s lightning bolt and if they don’t get it in time the gods would have a war which could destroy the world.

Why I like Percy Jackson

I like Percy Jackson because it is racy, interesting and it challenges you’re imagination. If I had to change anything it would that other character’s point of view are shown.

Well that’s about it, but it’s your choice whether or not if you want to read Percy Jackson and it is worth every single bit of it.
