The Voice (U.S)
Do you like singing? It doesn’t
matter, you will love (let me say that again, LOVE) The Voice. It has comedy,
suspense and excitement. I believe that The Voice is an inspiration not only to
singers but to everyone. It’s pretty complicated so if you start to read the
first chapter, there’s no turning back. So do you want to read my article? If
not there’s the door (Technically you can read someone else’s article but
still).
1)
What is the Voice
The voice is a reality show where
singers from all around the world come together to participate in a tournament
to see who’s best. This happens in four teams led by four coaches. The Voice is
basically a last man standing but a little bit more complicated (Ok a lot more
complicated).
In different seasons, different
coaches come and go to coach teams. So far the coaches have been Adam Levine,
CeeLo Green, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, Shakira,
Gwen Stefani, Miley Cyrus, Usher, and Alicia Keys. There have been ten seasons
and the eleventh is just starting.
2) The Schedule
There are five parts to The Voice. The
Blind Auditions, The Battle rounds, The Knockouts, The Live Playoffs, and The
Finale.
Blind Auditions- The Blind Audition is
the stage were the singer sings a song of his/her choice and the coaches see if
they want the sing in his/her team. If TWO coaches want one singer, the coaches
convince the singer to pick him/her as the singer has the choice (note that the
singer can only pick the coach that wants him/her in their team). One coach
needs 12 singers in the team to complete it and cannot have more than 12
singers in his/her team
The Battle
Rounds- Once the teams are complete each coach picks two singers from his/her
team to sing a song TOGETHER. The coach picks the song and have a practice
round with each pair. Then, they sing together on stage and the coach picks who
sang better. stage and the coach picks who sang better. The losing singer can
be another coach for his/her team, this is called a steal. Each coach has only
four steals.
The
Knockouts-The Knockouts are just like The Battle Rounds except a tiny bit
different. So the coaches now have ten singers each and the coaches pair them
up again. This time, the singers sing one song EACH and there are no steals
Live
Playoffs-There are nine parts to The Live Playoffs. From top twelve to top
four. First you decide the top twelve. Each coach is allowed to choose any
singer from any team who got knocked out in the knockouts, this is comeback
artist. He/she will perform with the five remaining singers. Now here’s the
fun, people get to vote out two singers from each team. The coaches pick one
between the four remaining singers, to go on with the eight voted singers. That
makes twelve (if you don’t understand what I’ve written, three people per team
x 4 teams = 12 people). The twelve singers remaining will sing one by one, and
people vote the top ten singers. The two singers are now in something called an
INSTANT vote. The two singers sing a song each and whoever gets more votes in a
time limit of five minutes will get to go on with the show. The other one will
be eliminated. Like this it becomes top eleven to top ten to top nine…. Up
until top four.
The Finale-The top 4 singers sing
multiple songs either by themselves, or they sing with someone else. They can
sing with coaches, idols and even friends. But it’s also for the fans votes. In
the end, whoever gets the highest number of votes WINS THE VOICE.
3) Inspirations to the voice
There have been great singers who have shown their talent on The Voice. So many have been inspired by the coaches, the singers and the coaches’ advisors.
There have been great singers who have shown their talent on The Voice. So many have been inspired by the coaches, the singers and the coaches’ advisors.
For example, a lot of people in the
world have what I like to call the no-stage noness, and what others like to
call stage fright. On The Voice, you sing in front of approximately 30,000 people!
This teaches not only the singer, but everyone never to be afraid.
4) Funny stuff
This reality show has suspense and
excitement, but where’s the funny bit? Well here it is
The” Adam Blake Rivalry” has been
going on since the beginning of the voice. They fight about every little thing
like who’s tattoo is better! Crazy.
Throughout season ten, Christina
Aguilera pulled out her phone and did her magic. What magic you ask? Why don’t
you go and find out? Type Christina’s phone season ten (don’t take it as
homework).
Please don’t rush on the homework
because it’s due only next publishing. I believe the voice is not only an
inspiration to singers but to everyone. Got to watch to agree with me. Well do
you want to watch, do you? If not, there’s the door (I meant remote)
