Effects of mobile technology on humans:
Have you ever thought about the harmful or unpleasant side of mobile technology? There are numerous effects of mobile technology on humans, good and bad.
Let’s check out the good ones. For starters, it has definitely brought the world closer together. Nowadays, it’s so easy to call people all over the world. People can choose the most comfortable way to contact their families or friends.
Secondly it provides various types of entertainments o us during different times which can change our mood. It also makes our life easier through many different types of apps and features such as the GPS. The GPS can help us find our way when in confusion.
Thirdly it is a good way to find information in a jiffy. If a person needs to know something in a hurry, he/she can just quickly check on the phone. Nowadays with superfast mobile data even in remote areas, it is very helpful.
These were the good effects, let’s take a look at the bad one.
The most obvious bad effect is that of the eyes. If you look at a phone for too long it is a strain to your eyes, as a phone has a small screen and is bright. How many people do you see wearing glasses today? A lot.
Moreover, since it is addicting, people stop going for walks and other exercises. This makes them lazy.
In addition to this, people can also suffer from health issues due to the radiation of the phone. Radiation damages your brain. Radiation has also been detected as one of the reasons of cancer.
See what a small device can do to you? So now I hope you will remember these effects before you settle down for a nice chat on your phone.

Effects of mobile technology on the environment:
As you know, mobile technology not only affects us but also the environment.
There are billions and billions of phones on earth. Making them itself eats up lots of resources on Earth. Also, millions of phones end up in land fill every ear which cases thousands of kilograms of lead to sink in the Earth which is bad for the soil. Whenever a new model comes out, the old ones are thrown away. About 180million phones retire in the US per year, over 40 times more than in 1990.
Furthermore, if all the phones on Earth were charged, it would produce around 35,000,000 pounds of carbon dioxide to be released into the air. Imagine that. No wonder our ozone layer is being eaten away. Not only cars release gases which pollutes the Earth. We also breathe in this contaminated air. All of these poisonous materials go into the Earth dissolving in the mud making the plants poisonous.
Thus mobile technology is bad for the environment as well as humans.
Pros and cons of mobile technology:
Pros:
There are many advantages of mobile technology. Firstly, it helps us be more productive throughout the day. For example, your e-mails can be sent through it or you can call someone through it. Your jobs can be done much faster on phones.
Secondly, you can call someone in case emergencies. If someone is hurt or in danger you can make a call and bring help. Help would immediately arrive.
Thirdly, there are many ne apps nowadays which help you in many things. If you need to be reminded about something, notifications will come on your phone at exactly the time you want. This can help you get to meetings or other important businesses making you more efficient.
Lastly, it can be used for playing games; watching videos etc. if you’re bored just pick up your phone and do something on it. There’s always something interesting.
These were all the pros let’s take a look at the cons.
Cons:
Mobile technology not only has advantages but also disadvantages.
Firstly, it can be very distracting due to social media. Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and other social media cause distraction to children and young adults. So instead of going to play and exercise, they stay at home and chat on these apps with their friends. These ca also lead to security issues as teenagers post pictures of themselves on these social media and can be seen by public.
Secondly, the incessant touching of your phone can harbor germs on your handset. The greasy, oily residue you may find on your phone after a day’s use can contain more disease prone germs than those found on a toilet seat. That’s pretty dangerous.
Thirdly, using a phone requires constant use of hands. While typing an e-mail or message, we tend to see our fingers pretty fast. This can cause pain and inflammation of your joints.
Next, back pain can also be caused as you hold the phone between your neck and shoulders while doing something else. For example, if you’re cooking or writing while talking on your phone, the position in which your back is can cause back pain.
Finally, research has shown an increased risk of traffic accidents, some 3 to 4 times greater, when mobile phones are used while driving due to distraction.

Conclusion:
To sum up, mobile tehnology has its own postitve and negative effects on humans and the environment. It may only seem like a very helpful thing to us, but it obviously can be pretty dangerous. With new models of cell phones coming out every day, let’s just hope we soon won’t be walking in floods of cell phones.
