Introduction

“Mansha show me your work”, said the teacher “that is beautiful Mansha, how did you learn to do that?” she said. I looked up and said “thank you”, and that is where my journey began. You might ask that art is all about beauty,but no! you are wrong, there is more than just beautyb .You need  patience, imagination and creativity.I like art but there are so many things about art, I am only going to tell you 3.

What is art, different techniques in art and reflections on art

You do not need to be a good artist you just need to be creative.

WHAT IS ART??

Most famous describe art as something that is created with creativity,skill and imagination or that express important ideas or feelings.It does not need to be beautiful to be art.

ART WAS BORN

Art was first there whene there where cave men around.In there caves they use to paint on the walls on the cave with green leaves or berries. In those days when they used art for telling other people what happenned in the early ages.

Art is now Older

Art was first in caves but now it is in books. The book was written by Leo Tolstoy. It was completed in Russian in 1897. It was published in English due to difficulties with Russia’s cencors.

Leo Tolstoy

Leo Tolstoy cites the time, effort, public funds and public respect spent on Art and Artists. As well as the impression on some general opinion on art. That was the reason to write the book.

Different Techniques in Art

Now we know so much about Art, Let’s do it in diffeent ways.

Action Painting

Action painting can be called in two ways, “ Gesture Abstraction” or “Action Painting”. It is a style of painting where paint is dribbled, splashed or smeared onto a canvas rather than being applied by a brush.

Fresco Painting:

Fresco painting is a technique which is a part of Mural painting.

This type of painting has to be painted on a wall. The word “FRESCO” comes from Italy (Italian = Fresco). In English FRESCO means Fresh. That means Fresco painting measn fresh painting.

Tempra Painting

Tempra is also known as egg tempra because it’s paint is made out of eggs. Paintings made from Tempra paint last long. One example, a picture made in the 1^st centuary still exits.

I like art because it is creative and I like creative things. Everyone has a different meaning for Art.
