Homework should be banned

Have you ever wondered what benefit loads of homework has on the child? Or is it just stressful. I feel that homework should be banned because the co-relation between homework and success is negative. Also homework takes too much time so we don’t go to play and all the work be it questions and answers or research or drawing diagrams all of it should be done in school. We will be free at home to relax and chill out if we have no homework and it will have a better effect of student’s focus and releases stress. Also if teachers give us too much homework we start hating that subject and it destroys the natural essence of learning.

The co-relation between homework and success  has a negative impact. Finland gives their students no homework that have outperformed students of Asia that have loads of homework. Homework should be banned because it just isn’t useful. Homework is pointless because kids do enough work in school. When they comethey want to chill out, hangout with friends and do much more.           Others may say doing homework will prepare students for the big end tests but, when you look at the fact that homework has loads of stress on the student it may make him/her more nervous than confident and he/she will mug up things rather than learning them.

Homework takes a lot of time and wedon’t go outdoors. There are many subjects like English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography where we have to answer ‘Why ?’ . All these subjects have too many explanations to write. We do enough practice in school that we don’t need to practice at home while we should be playing outdoors in fresh air

While it may be true that homework helps understand clearly, nevertheless it turns out that we stress and take too much time to

solve the problems/write the answers and we don’t go to play outdoors which should happen every day and not rarely.

        Also homework is pretty boring and we don’t enjoy doing it. We should only do what we enjoy doing and not force ourselves.

All work from all subjects should be done in  school so we are free at home. Questions, answers, research etc. should be done at school by giving us an extra period for homework.

        It could be for 30-40 minutes. That could help us a lot and all doubts could be asked face-to-face from our teachers. When we reach home we should be able to have free time for ourselves to pursue our hobbies, go to play, go to extra-curricular activities or go on gadgets.

        Though people may argue that homework allows students to practice and revise what was done in class but, I feel we do enough work and study a lot at school that we shouldn’t get homework. We do stuff like activities/read from the textbook that we understand the topic completely.    

I have now reasons enough to believe that homework should be banned because the co-relation between homework and success is negative, homework takes too much time and we don’t go outdoors/play and all the work should be done in school be it research, drawing diagrams , write essays. Don’t you think that if we ban all  the homework students will be happier and will have a big stress load removed from their heads? If you think so you should talk to your teacher/principal who can take action and ban homework for less stressful lives!
