Are you looking for the perfect anime? Oh wait , you probably don’t even know what anime is. Well, for you people who don’t know, anime are Japanese animated shows. Do you know what manga is? Manga are just basically the book version of anime and they are kind of like comic books.

Anime are spectacular shows in my opinion but the only problem about anime is the fact that it is very rarely broadcasted on TV except for in Japan and it is not very famous around the world. If they are broadcasted on TV, only like 1 or 2 are shown and on only 1 channel. I feel that anime deserves a place on TV because the quality of the shows is as good as any show shown on TV and might I say, even better than most. I’m willing to bet that everyone who has watched anime will say that it’s one the best shows they have ever watched.

ABOUT ANIME

Now you’re probably wondering how many anime’s there are in the world. Let me tell you this. Anime are 60% of the worlds animation based entertainment. So there are more than 10,000 anime’s in the whole world. An anime can range in how long it is. Like for example, an anime can be as long as almost 700 episodes like Naruto that is a famous anime can be as long as 12 episodes like one punch man, which is another great anime. Each anime episode is about 20 minutes and about 3 minutes totally are used in the starting theme song and the credits at the end. Anime’s are originally manga’s. So a manga artist first makes the manga and then the anime is developed. So all anime’s have a manga.

 In anime there are episodes called filler episodes and episodes called cannon episodes. Filler episodes are episodes that are not related to the anime and are not important at all. For example, the anime, Naruto had a high percent of filler episodes of 42%. Out of the 220 episodes, Naruto had a total number of filler episodes of 93(even then Naruto is one of the best anime in the world). These filler episodes are made because the manga is still being created so the anime artists have to wait until the story of the manga continues. So that they continue the airing of the anime and so that they don’t completely disappoint their viewers, filler episodes are created until the manga artist continues the story. Cannon episodes are episodes that are related to the story and are important to see otherwise you will miss some of the story and might not understand what is happening.

Anime are either created using hand drawn animations or computer animation. Anime artists these days use mostly computer animations because the production process is way more efficient and quicker. The first color anime dates back to 1958 which was the Tale of the White Serpent. Back in the day anime artists such as Nobutro Ofuji used techniques to make anime such as stop motion animation of paper cutouts, and silhouttes. Silhouette animation is animations were only black silhouttes are used. Now animes are produces like any animations using storyboarding, voice acting, character design and cel production.

GENRES OF ANIME

 With there being more than 10,000 animes in the world, there has to be some kind of classification and there is. There are many different genres and types of anime. There are 10 main genres being ACTION, MYSTERY, SUPERNATURAL, THRILLER, ADVENTURE, ROMANCE, SPORTS, COMEDY, PYSCHOLOGICAL and DRAMA. There are also many more genres but they are not very important.  An anime can have more than 1 genre at the same time. So for example, there is an anime called bleach in which the genres are adventure, thriller, action, comedy and a few more.

There are also different types of anime. However, they are not genres of anime but they more like labels as to who the intended audience are. These 4 different types are:-

·         SHOUJO ANIME

Shoujo anime are anime which are intended for for female teenagers. Some good shoujo animes are skip beat, and blue spring ride

·         SHONEN ANIME

·         Shonen or shounen anime are intended for a young male audience. It is intended for ages 8 – 18. Few examples of shounen anime are naruto, dragon ball z, full metal alchemist

·         JOSEI ANIME

Josei anime are animes for girls in their late teens or young adulthood

·         KODOMOMUKE ANIME

Animes which are intended for small children. Great kodomomuke animes are pokemon and doraemon

Deathnote is rated the most popular anime in the world and according to me definitely needs to be the first anime you watch.

A shinigami (god of death) can kill any person as long as they see their victims face and write their name in a notebook called the Deathnote. One day,  ryuk, a shinigami dropped a death note in the human world because he was bored of the shinigami life. Light Yagami finds it and begins to use it. He decides to extinguish al the criminals in the world by writing their name in the deathnote. He later faces an obstacle when the police call out the worlds beszt detective wh0 goes by the name of L.

NARUTO

Genres – action, comedy, martial arts, superpower, shounen Episodes- 220 Status - completed

Naruto along with naruto shippuden is according to me the best anime. It has received numerous awards like the ‘best full length animation program award’ and the ‘best animated show’

Right before Naruto Uzumaki was born, a demon, the nine tailed fox ,attacked the hidden leaf village and wreaked havoc. To stop the nine tails, the leader of the village, the fourth hokage sealed the beast inside of Naruto . When naruto grows up he is despised because of the nine tailed fox inside of him. Naruto’s dream is to bec0me the hokage and in this journey he creates some friends and some enemies too.

Naruto shippuden is the sequel of naruto and the continuation of the naruto series when he is a little bit older and grown up

ONE PIECE

ONE PIECE is the most popular anime in japan and has inspired a number of light novels and more than 40 video games.
